Mrs. Kelley

I recently married Phil Kelley and we just moved into our new house in Yukon, OK.  We spent our honeymoon in Cancun and really enjoyed ourselves!  We are ecstatic to begin our new lives together as a couple with our favorite little white dog, Luci.  She's slowly settling in at the new place too.  We feel so blessed!

No dice

Sorry, I didn't feel that anyone was really following the blog for the wedding so I dropped the ball.  Maybe one day I'll have something else exciting to write about.  ;)

5!

I realize it has been a long time since I have posted anything.  I wasn't too worried because I was pretty certain no one cared to read about the wedding plans outside of the earful they already get on Facebook from my posts.  What a surprise it was for me to find 5 whole followers today when I signed in!  Ha!  Shout out to you guys!

Anyhow, back to the wedding junk.  I finally have all of the big boys booked.  DJ, Cake, Photographer, Pastor, Wedding party is dressed (for the most part), Colors, Food, Florist.  All I need are the invitations which will be worried over after our engagement pictures on Easter Sunday.

After all of that, I'll see how much money I have to play with and start filling in some decor and gifts...the fun stuff!

Oh, we picked our baker on Monday.  It is All Things Cake and it just opened up in March next door to the place where I bought my dress.  I saw it when I went in to pick up my dress which was incredibly tight but seemed to fit better the second time I tried it on.  Must have stretched!  The cake place owner has got some cool things going on.  I checked her site and found that they do Girls Night Out stuff and Cake camp and things for kiddos to do with their moms.  Very creative.  I'm excited for her to be doing all of that and living her dream!  How energizing!

Things are Falling Into Place

We have managed to get a wedding party together, I ordered my dress, and we shopped for suits/bm (bridesmaid) dresses and tasted some cake too.  We still haven't decided on Phil's attire or our colors (since those may depend somewhat on what we can find in dresses) and we still need a cake baker but at least we are in the process of gathering information.  Oh, and I booked a photographer!  :D  Anyhow, thought I better post some news.  That's all for now.

PS We took some pics in the snow this weekend-should be interesting.  I have a roll of film to get developed!

The Date is Set!

Save June 19, 2010. We have booked The Barn at Vive le Ranch in South Tulsa for that date. Note that it is Father's Day weekend.

I don't have any additional details yet as nothing else has been decided. I am currently checking on different hotels in the area to hold rooms. In the process, I did find that there is a Shelby Mustang Meet in town then so if anyone likes those cars, you're in for a treat! lol!

Stay tuned for more to come!

Burr!

I have no idea what the windchill was last night while we were touring The Barn but it was painfully cold. The Barn fits our style and is flexible which is worth a lot. The challenge is space...and hiring separate vendors to bring tables, chairs, and food. Also, June is a peak month so it costs a bit more. :(   Okay, for some pics!
